One such business is Emma's Gourmet Popcorn in New Holland.
Emma’s Gourmet Popcorn was founded in 2006 by Emma Fisher, an Amish woman who started her business in a shed on her property after friends and family fell in love with her popcorn and chocolate creations. Emma retired in 2010, and her children moved the growing business to their home, adding new flavors and expanding retail and wholesale sales.
If you have a sweet tooth, you'll love flavors such as cinnamon bun or cookies and cream. Or maybe you prefer something savory like cheddar ranch or salt and vinegar. Can't decide? Then mix sweet and savory with Emma's Signature Blend of caramel and cheddar. If you like things a little spicy, try white cheddar jalapeno or buffalo blue cheese. Whatever you're craving, you are sure to find the perfect popcorn with nearly 50 flavor combinations to choose from.
In addition to gourmet popcorn, Emma's creates several delicious flavors of biscotti, granola bars, flavored pretzels and more that are also made in-house and get raving reviews. Right now, you can purchase Emma's Gourmet Popcorn at their small, home-based retail shop, where you can see the popcorn being made, smell the amazing aroma and taste-test a large variety of their enticing flavors. You also can purchase Emma's Gourmet Popcorn at a number of local businesses throughout Pennsylvania Dutch Country, or even order it online.
In the coming months, the business is preparing to move to a new, bigger location at 4038 Old Philadelphia Pike right along Route 340. That's conveniently just 3 minutes down the pike from the Inn and Spa at Intercourse Village. Stay tuned to Emma's Facebook page for details about the opening of the new location.
