Would you be surprised to learn that Pennsylvania is the fourth leading producer of wine in the United States, behind California, New York and Washington? It's true. And Lancaster County is home to some our state's most spectacular wineries. Within a short drive of the Inn and Spa at Intercourse Village there are three wine tasting rooms and galleries, where you can sample some award-winning local wines that will appeal to almost every palate.
Waltz Vineyards is located in nearby Manheim, but they have a tasting room right at the Kitchen Kettle Village. The winery is committed to using only their estate-grown fruit to produce bold reds, intriguing whites and captivating rosés. At their tasting room, you can sample a select flight of five wines at the beautiful tasting bar. Or maybe you'd prefer individual samples enjoyed in the loft or on the outdoor patio. Try some local cheeses with your wines for a complete Lancaster tasting experience.
Mount Hope Estate Winery has been producing award-winning wines since 1980. You can sample them at their wine gallery, located just a mile from the Inn and Spa at Intercourse Village. On the first floor of the wine gallery, knowledgeable staff can guide you through a tasting of Mount Hope's inspiring wines. They've even created a special Intercourse Wine Series to pay homage to our quaint village – and you can only sample them here! The second floor is where you'll find Mount Hope's nano-brewery, Rumpringa Brewing Co. Enjoy year-round favorites and seasonal specialties of their handcrafted beers.
